Sabey Corporation and National Real Estate Advisors announced that Ares Secondaries funds have expanded their investment in Sabey Data Center Properties (SDCP), bringing Ares' total commitment to more than $500 million. The move follows Ares' initial minority equity investment in SDCP, which was announced in July 2026.
SDCP currently operates 275 megawatts of capacity across more than four million square feet of mission-critical space. The company's expansion pipeline is expected to grow that footprint to approximately 737 megawatts by 2033.
Tim Mirick, President of SDCP, said the additional commitment "reflects confidence in the strength of our platform and our ability to develop and operate the mission-critical infrastructure our customers rely on." Kevin Verdi, EVP & Chief Investment Officer at National, called the follow-on investment a reflection of "continued conviction in SDCP's long-term value proposition and growth trajectory."
Jamie Sunday, Co-Head of Real Estate Secondaries at Ares, said the firm was "pleased to expand our investment in SDCP and build on our relationship with the Sabey and National teams."
