Amazon Data Services Malaysia Sdn Bhd has agreed to buy a parcel of freehold land in Dengkil, Sepang, Selangor from Sunsuria City Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of developer Sunsuria Berhad. The site covers 183,973 square meters, or about 1.98 million square feet, and Sunsuria will receive RM316.84 million (US$77.66 million) in cash for it, according to a report from w.media.
The land is currently vacant and is earmarked "to host data processing services and infrastructure," per the disposal filing. Sunsuria expects the deal to close in the second quarter of 2027, and release of the balance of the purchase price is tied to payment milestones and to Sunsuria completing site infrastructure such as roads, lighting, drainage, and utilities.
Sunsuria expects to book an estimated net pro forma gain of RM50.34 million on the disposal. The agreed price sits about 3.2% above the land's most recent market valuation of RM307 million.
